Charlotte is located in Mecklenburg County and borders the NC/SC state line.  The metro region includes counties of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Iredell, Catawba, Lincoln, Gaston, and Union, as well as York and Lancaster just across the South Carolina line.   Click on Area Links to the left to access useful information on communities, schools, local newspaper, taxes, etc.
